Who holds the responsibility for body diversity in dance?

When we can’t rely on Swedish institutions and companies to actively promote a more body-diverse representation of dancers, the responsibility falls to us in the free field. If we as dancers, dance makers, producers, and curators all share this responsibility, how can we put it into action?

In this collegial meeting, Alicia Karhunen Larsson and Hannah Krebs invite members of Danscentrum Sthlm to reflect on body diversity and body image within the dance field. Together, we will discuss different aspects of this topic and develop strategies for creating spaces where bodies of different shapes and sizes can coexist.
